The 11th Việt Nam International Exhibition on Products, Equipment, Supplies for Medical, Pharmaceutical, Hospital and Rehabilitation will be held in HCM City from September 21 to 24, offering businesses and visitors the opportunity to find business partners, learn about global trends and acquire global medical knowledge and technologies and equipment.

With 10,000sq.m of exhibition space at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre, Pharmedi 2016, the biggest medical and healthcare expo in Viet Nam, will feature 600 booths set up by more than 350 exhibitors from 25 countries and territories, including national pavilions of South Korea, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Pakistan, Taiwan, and China.

The products on display will be divided into four major categories: Pharmex (pharmaceuticals, pharmaceutical materials, and pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging equipment ), Medex and Hospex (hospital furniture and equipment, surgical instruments, diagnosis, and rescue and physiotherapy equipment), Analytex (analysis and laboratory equipment, image processing and analysis equipment, bio-technology applications, and medical waste treatment system), Beautycare (aesthesis equipment, beauty-care products and spa and massage products and equipment).

The exhibition will also display and offer consultancy on designing teaching models and medical information technology.

Several seminars presented by leading experts from the Ministry of Health, including one on "Decree on medical equipment management" and "Spinal surgery with minimal invasion," will be held alongside Pharmedi 2016.

Deputy Minister of Health Assoc Prof Dr Pham Le Tuan said: "I am confident that through the exhibition Vietnamese and international companies will achieve high efficiency in trade and co-operation for production and business development and improve product and service quality to better serve their healthcare and protection work.

"The exhibition will grow and attract more attention from specialised units and professional experts at home and abroad, become an important activity not only for the Vietnamese medical sector but also for the Asia Pacific region."

Pharmedi is an attractive event that will bring together a large number of professional participants from local and overseas hospitals, healthcare service providers, manufacturers - wholesalers - retailers, individuals and organizations involved in scientific research, consultants, educational institutions, doctors, pharmacists, scientists, and others.

The event will offer Vietnamese and foreign enterprises a good opportunity to discover business partners, keep abreast of market trends and improve their product and service quality.

It will be presided over by the Ministries of Health and Industry and Trade, and organised by ADPEX JSC, Viet Nam Pharmaceutical Companies Association, the Central Health Communication and Education Centre, Viet Nam Medical Products Import and Export Joint Stock Company, and the HCM City Medical Equipment Association. — VNS
